Dog Tricks fall into different spots, some fall into numerous catagories. For purpose of this blog, I have listed them as I see fit.
- Thinker Dog: A dog who uses his brain to figure things out, with a bit of coaching from you.
- Athletic Dog: These tricks include body movement, agility, dancing, ect.
- Preforming Artist: Some dogs love to preform or showoff, this section includes cute tricks such as sitting up pretty, to more intense tricks such as Get me a beer from the fridge.
- Basic: This includes the ever popular what every dog should know, regardless of whether it be a show dog, a sporting dog, or just a all around good family dog.
- Novice: A step above the basics.
- Intermediate: Think of this as high school for your dog.
- Advanced: This section is like college for your dog.
- Expert: Every ones loves an dog that is an expert as something. This is the end all of end all in trick training. Only the elite make it, and let me tell you, your dog is very capable of making it to expert status.

- ASDR- American Stock Dog Registry ( I include this one, as both of my dogs are Australian shepherds and both are registered though here.)
- AKC- American Kennel Club
- UKC- United Kennel Club
- DTA- Dog Talent Association
- NTD- National Trick Dog (Do More With Your Dog)
- IPA- International Parkour Association
- C-WAG- Canine Work and Games.
There are a lot of speciality groups out there also. Agility, Flyball, Disc-Dog, Dock Diving, Carting, Obedience. I will try to cover some over time.
