AKC TRICK DOG
While the AKC offers numerous ways of titling you dog. I am concentrating on Trick dog. TherAAe are five levels to conquer. I am going to give the trick lists here and basic rules, but for more information on all the rules and regulations and how to get your tricks evaluated please follow the link below.
The five levels are as follows:
- AKC NOVICE TRICK DOG (TKN)- Dog will perform 10 skills from the novice list, if the dog has a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certificat it can do 5 novice tricks (CGC +5) to earn the novice title.
- AKC INTERMEDIATE TRICK DOG (TKI)- Dog must have the novice title and perform 10 intermediate tricks.
- AKC ADVANCED TRICK DOG (TKA)- Dog must have intermediate title and perform 10 advanced tricks.
- AKC TRICK DOG PERFORMER (TKP)- Dogs must perform a short routine with at least 10 tricks, with at least 3 tricks using a prop.
- AKD TRICK DOG ELITE PERFORMER (TKE)- This is the highest level of Trick dog, the elite performers perform a routine that has a story/script. At least 5 props are used.
