STOCK DOG REGISTRY
Stock dog registry is followed along the same lines as AKC registry.
A breed registry, is an official list of animals within a specific breed whose parents are known. Animals are usually registered by their breeders while they are young. The registration of your purebred dog, ensures the soundness, health and integrity of the breed. The papers, also called registration papers, consist of a simple certificate, which lists some of the ancestors in the animals background, sometimes with a chart showing lineage.
There are several different stock dog registries.
International Stock Dog Registry has now changed their name to
This is the registry that I use for my own dogs. So this is the one that will be concerned about on this page.
They consist of 4 breeds, The Australian Cattle Dog, The Australian Shepherd, The Border Collie, and The Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
They offer scholarships, dog shows, showmanship competitions and preformance competitions and much more.
For this blog we will narrow this down to American Stock Dog Trick Dog
They offer three titles in this catagory. Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. The tricks preformed in each catagory follow along AKC, but there are differences. So be sure to pay attention to the rules stated if you are going to try for these titles.

With Covid, some rules have been changed to suit social distancing, and lockdowns. Please check with the American Stock Dog registry to find out where and how to gain these titles. Each level gives a few Handler choice spots, these are for dogs that cant seem to grasp the listed tricks. Use your imagination for these spots, example, I can not get my girl to wave on paw at me, but she will do "The Wave", like crowds at a sporting event. Its really adorable. Point being it was acceptable as a handlers choice.
